Demonstration of the APC1 Air Quality Combo Sensor

The APC1 is a matchbox size air quality combo sensor for air purification, ventilation and home and building automation.

In this video we simulate some common indoor air pollutants and we measure the effect it has on air quality. For instance when lighting a match, we can simulate combustion fumes or we can measure alcoholic fumes when we pour a glass of rum. And we have an air humidifier to simulate the variation in humidity levels.

Big automation has revolutionized the way how we manage spaces, security, lighting, energy efficiency. But there is often one aspect that we often overlook and this is indoor air quality. The indoor air is full of invisible gases that are potentially dangerous for our health and even our brain power. Variation of level of humidity and temperature can also affect our comfort levels. And last but not least, we can also find some particle matters, especially the ones around 2.5 microns, that can deeply penetrate into our lungs. So it is very relevant, and essential to have a measurement of all these factors. Therefore we have designed our powerful tool APC1 that is able to measure temperature, humidity, particulate matters of every size.
