Odithc launches new series of ultrasonic flow metering solutions with ScioSense’s latest UFC product inside

Sensing tomorrow’s world: Chinese design house Odithc launches ultrasonic flow metering solution Rhino™ for residential and Insig™ for industrial use, based on ScioSense’s latest UFC product.

Shenzhen, China, (21 February 2020): ScioSense™, a leading expert in environmental and flow sensing, announced today that Chinese design house Shenzhen Odithc Electronics Co., Ltd. (Odithc) released ultrasonic flow metering solution Rhino™ for residential and Insig™ for industrial use to cover DN08 through DN300 applications with robust performance based on ScioSense’s UFC product.

The latest ScioSense UFC product provides superior integration, sensitivity and flexibility, while significantly reducing the complexity of both hardware and software designs. Mr. Oliver Yang, CTO of Shenzhen Odithc Electronics states: “We’re very excited to launch the new series of ultrasonic flow metering solutions with ScioSense’s latest UFC product inside. The Rhino series covers applications from DN08 to DN25 for residential and the Insig series covers DN40 to DN300 for industrial use. Thanks to the robust performance of the ScioSense UFC product, both solutions have outstanding adaptivity for field applications, especially when considering the systematic aging of mechanics, attenuation of transducers and water quality impact.”

“We’re satisfied with its hardware resource and have been using most of the functionalities including the high-voltage driver, programmable gain amplifier, etc. Meanwhile, the solutions displayed high redundancy for over-flow applications in cooperation with the phase-insertion algorithm supported by ScioSense. The Rhino series will be ready for sampling in the second quarter of 2020 and mass production delivery begins in the third quarter. The Insig series will be ready for sampling in the third quarter of 2020 and mass production delivery begins in the fourth quarter, except customized new designs.”
